Over 450 Miffy activity packs have been sent to nurseries, pre-schools and children’s centres across the UK to support fundraising events as pre-schoolers celebrate 60 years of Dick Bruna’s bunny this Easter.

Each pre-school setting is aiming to raise £100 during its ‘Miffy Easter Extravaganza’ event. The money will go to special care baby charity, Bliss - with which Miffy has partnered during this anniversary year.

Nursery staff will be selling Miffy-themed cakes, whilst children decorate bunny ears to wear in an Easter parade.

UK publisher, Simon and Schuster, has provided a large format version of the recently updated Miffy’s Birthday storybook, to be read to children after their art and craft session. Each event ends with a birthday party, complete with Miffy balloons and bunting.

The pre-school setting that raises the most money for Bliss will win a costume character visit to mark Miffy’s official birthday on June 21st while three runners up will win a full set of Miffy books from Simon and Schuster.

“As part of Miffy’s ongoing partnership with Bliss, these Easter events are a great way to build awareness for the brand amongst pre-schoolers, whilst also raising money for such a worthwhile cause," said Alicia Davenport, DRi Licensing.
