Lawless Entertainment has secured a deal with apparel specialist Mighty Fine for The Little Prince.

The firm will develop apparel for infants, toddlers and juniors, including knit fashion tops, t-shirts and fleece clothing, using art from The Little Prince.

The merchandise will debut in the US and Canada in January 2013.

The Little Prince was first published in 1943 and is a novella by Antoine de Siant-Exupéry.

"I'm very pleased with this new collaboration and I look forward to a long relationship between La Petit Prince and Mighty Fine," said Eric Edery, partner at Method Films and MD at Propertiz Licensing.

Patty Timsawat, COO at Mighty Fine, added: "We are excited to be working with this beloved literary work of art and extend this timeless classic on to apparel."
