Mike the Knight is this year's most searched for TV show on Google.

More people looked for Hit Entertainment's popular pre-school brand online than they did Homeland and The Only Way is Essex, which were number two and three in the table respectively.

Google revealed the Top Ten TV show searches of 2012 in its annual Zeitgeist list. The top trending TV shows are as follows:

1. Mike the Knight
2. Homeland
3. The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE)
4. The Jonathan Ross Show
5. Celebrity Big Brother
6. Sherlock
7. The Great British Bake Off
8. Game of Thrones
9. Big Bang Theory
10. How I Met Your Mother
