Milkshake welcomes The Wotwots back for second series

Channel 5 has welcomed the popular pre-school animated characters, The WotWots back for a second series to air on the station's kids' show Milkshake.

Series 2 of the animation, narrated by British broadcasting personality, Nicholas Parsons OBE will air on the channel from August this year.

The first series of The WotWots proved to be a solid performer for Milkshake, reaching two million viewers through 2012.

Jessica Symons, head of children's at Channel 5, said: "I am delighted to welcome back The WotWots to Channel 5.

"The series is very popular with the Milkshake audience and I am sure they can't wait to see what adventures are next in store for SpottyWot and DottyWot."

Chief executive at Pukeko Pictures, Andrew Smith, added: "The WotWots has had a strong ratings history on Milkshake and we look forward to seeing the same performance when Series 2 lands on Channel 5."

Series 2 of the Pukeko production will witness the alien siblings encounter farm life, as well as travelling to the seashore.
