Mind Candy appoints Ian Chambers as new CEO

Having held senior roles at Ubisoft, EA, IGN and Game, Chambers will be integral to helping the Moshi Monsters creator position itself for growth over the coming year.

Mind Candy, the team behind Moshi Monsters and World of Warriors has appointed Ian Chambers as its new CEO.

Chambers joins the firm boasting extensive experience in the entertainment industry, having held senior roles at Ubisoft, EA, IGN and Game.

Throughout his history in the entertainment sector, Chambers has been responsible for publishing leading game franchises such as Far Cry, Prince of Persia and FIFA Ultimate Team.

He has also helped lead several digital business to successful growth, most notably in his role as MD, international for IGN where he oversaw the firm’s expansion from one language to twelve.

Mind Candy founder and chairman, Michael Acton Smith has welcomed Chambers to his new role.

“We are thrilled to have Ian on board. His experience in entertainment and digital marketing will be very valuable for Mind Candy to develop existing brands and launch new ones,” he said.

“The team and I are really looking forward to working with him.”

Chambers will be integral to the firm’s plans to position itself for growth over the coming year, helping the company out of its current financial slump.

“With the opportunity to develop established brands including Moshi Monsters and World of Warriors, and with a new IP in development, the potential at Mind Candy is huge and I am looking forward to working with the team to achieve it,” said Chambers.
