MIPTV 2010: Hit debuts Monkey See Monkey Do

New kids CGI series bags seven deals with major broadcasters.

Hit Entertainment has debuted new kids CGI show Monkey See Monkey Do at MIPTV, and has already inked seven deals with key broadcasters.

Produced by Smartoonz, the 26 seven minute episodes invite viewers to discover, copy and then dance along with a special animal guest. Every show also incliude two of six bespoke songs.

The activity takes place in five different environments: Jungle, Farm, Pong, Savannah amd Arctic.

Broadcasters signed up include France 5, TVA, TVO and Knowledge (Canada), Al Jazeera Kids (Middle East), Minimax (Eastern Europe) and Disney Latam (Latin America).

A deal with a US broadcaster is also imminent.

Alison Homewood, EVP of worldwide programming at Hit, said: "Monkey See Monkey Do is a colourful, upbeat CG animated series which really encourages children to engage with the show's characters through dance and song. Broadcasters are responding well to it."
