2012 is shaping up to be a growth year for Momiji, the handpainted collectable message doll brand, with a licensing agent already on board for the US and plans afoot for further growth in Europe and Asia.

HAP Consulting is now handling the brand in North America. Now in its sixth year, the Momiji brand is distributed extensively throughout Europe, the US, Australasia and South East Asia.

At the heart of the brand is a three-inch message doll, which comes with a tiny folded card for a hand-written message, dream or wish. There are 150 dolls in the collection.

Current stockists include MOMA (Museum of Modern Art in New York), La Rienescente and Macy's, as well as boutiques, galleries and upscale independent stores. Momiji accessories are also available in stores such as Forever 21 and TopShop.

"We're so excited to share our extensive graphic imagery with new partners," said Momiji creative director, Claire Rowlands. "Each Momiji is a very different type of girl so we know that whether you're a rock chick, a fashionista or super-cute you'll fall in love with Momiji."

HAP's Heidi Packer added: "There are so many opportunities at our finger tips, especially with their latest collection - Bibi Button, Darcie Dot and Loreli Love. We can't wait to partner with best in class licensees."
