Monty Python tees on way
PPC Enterprises has inked a deal to feature seminal comedy Monty Python on a new range of t-shirts.
The agreement will see Famous Forever Clothing producing a range of licensed t-shirts, which will be sold at High Street names including Next, Littlewoods, ASOS and smaller, independent stores.
PPCE has set up a series of Python licensing deals - including apparel, voice key chains and dress-up - as the classic brand gears up for its 40th birthday this year.
"Monty Python is a fantastic brand and despite it being 40 years old, it is as popular as ever," said Mark Hurry, legal and commercial director at PPC Enterprises. "It has always had an incredibly loyal fan base and now a whole new generation are rediscovering the films and watching the classic sketches on the net.
"The deal with Famous Forever is a fantastic way to tap into this market, especially as branded tees are so hot at the moment."
