More Horrid deals from CPLG
Further activity is being planned by CPLG for Novel Entertainment's Horrid Henry brand.
The most recent deals include the signing of Blues Clothing for nightwear and underwear, with the line due to hit retail in spring/summer 2008.
Since launching on CITV in 2006, Horrid Henry - which is based on the books by Francesca Simon - has consistently rated as one of the channel's top shows, regularly receiving a 16 per cent audience share. It currently airs on ITV1 every Saturday morning and daily on the CITV Channel.
First published in 1994, book sales of Horrid Henry have exceeded nine million copies in the UK - and over the past 18 months there has been a increase in the interest surrounding the brand.
To meet this, Orion Children's Books will publish a new title every month from February to October 2008. Highlights of the 2008 publishing programme include a Joke Book, a fifth hardback collection and three more Activity and Puzzle books illustrated with stills from Novel's animated TV series.
CPLG is now in the position to develop the brand into other categories, in particular toys, puzzles and games, stationery and greeting cards, as well as licensed promotions.
A third DVD is also due to be released in November.
