Cardiff-based animation company Calon has picked up two best animation awards for its pre-school agony aunt series, Hana's Helpline.

The accolades include best animation at the Celtic Film Festival in Galway last week and the best animation award at the recent Welsh BAFTAs.

Hana's Helpline (called Holi Hana in Welsh) - commissioned by S4C and Five - is now completing production of its second series and has a wide variety of licensing partners including plush toys from Golden Bear, a series of books from Random House, DVD from 2Entertain and a comic deal with Redan Publishing.

"We are delighted with both of these honours for Holi Hana," said Calon's MD Robin Lyons.

The same team produced the likes of Superted, Hilltop Hospital and the animated Under Milk Wood.
