BKN New Media has secured more broadcast deals for its Zorro-Generation Z property.

TV Azteca in Mexico, Sun TV in India and TVE in Spain have all picked up the first season. In addition, TVE and Record TV in Brasil have confirmed broadcast of the second season in HD, beginning in autumn 2010.

Zorro is already a hit in Brasil, with ratings for season one reaching 250,000 children watching each week.

The property is also building in licensing terms in the territories. Doricart (calendars/backpacks) and Marini Silvano (apparel) have signed in Italy; Pernanbucanas (bed linen) and KG Line (back to school) are on board in Brasil; Brisa Jardin (bed linen) and Tecnotoys (car/motorbike slots) are supporting it in Spain; and Greece boasts Giovas (stationery/back to school) and Markidis (Easter eggs).

"These international activities will continue to stimulate brand awareness through fall and well into 2011, when the second season will launch in its high definition format," said Laura Tapias, MD of BKN New Media. "Some licensees have already met their sales expectations and are increasing their product offerings."
