Moshi Monsters Music Rox has gone gold in the UK without any promotional airplay.

The album, which was released in April, is the debut album of global online kids' game Moshi Monsters.

The brand joins the likes of Robbie Williams, Labrinth, Olly Murs, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj who have all had gold albums in the UK this year.

An album must reach 100,000 sales before it can be classed as gold in the UK.

“We’re thrilled to see how well Music Rox has done in the charts, all without any radio or TV play," said Jason Perry, head of Moshi Music.

Thanks, Music Week.
