Vivid has projected that it will have sold 20 million of its Moshi Monsters Moshlings before Christmas. The company is selling almost 5,000 of the toys every day.
The blind bag product has been a constant fixture in the NPD’s year-to-date unit sales chart throughout 2011.
Stuart Grant, Buying Director for The Entertainer said: “Moshi Monsters is predicted to be one of the best-selling toy brands this Christmas.”
He added: “Moshi Monsters has made a huge impact on the toy industry so far this year, we have seen such phenomenal sales year to date and are very excited about the new products launched for Christmas including the Gold Tin collection and the Moshling Treehouse featuring the Ultra Rare Roxy.”
The Moshi Monsters Moshling Treehouse, a play-set for the collectables, was included in the 2011 Dream Toys Dream Dozen.
