The 24-hour, English language channel will premiere before the end of 2008 in ten new countries including the UK (Sky), and Israel (HOT) and for the first time will launch across Latin America in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuala, Peru, Ecuador, Caribbean Islands and Uruguay with DirecTV Panamericana.
The high definition service launched in September in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway Poland and Sweden and in France in November. The service consists of music based and kids’ original programming, acquired and from MTVNI’s multi-branded library.
Over 300 hours of original programming has been commissioned for the channel over two years including MTV Top 20, Uncompressed and Chartblast.
