Veteran voice of motorsport Murray Walker is to appear in two special episodes of Chapman's Roary the Racing Car.

Walker, best known for his Formula 1 coverage over some 52 years, joins a host of other celebrities already working on the show including comedian Peter Kay (Big Chris) and narrator Sir Stirling Moss.

"So many of my friends with children, literally from all over the world, have told me how much they enjoy watching Roary the Racing Car with their youngsters, so I was delighted when I was invited to join the cast and absolutely enthralled to take part in the studio recordings with Peter Kay and the rest of the jolly talent," said Walker.

Greg Lynn, executive producer of Roary the Racing Car, added: "Murray is a legend and one of the most likeable and well respected commentators in motor sport history, so we were naturally thrilled when he agreed to commentate for us."
