Following the sell out run of Milkshake! Live concerts this summer, the partnership has announced its latest show, featuring the British Philharmonic Orchestra, led by young conductor Robert Emery.
Throughout the concert, the orchestra perform a wide range of classical and yuletide favourites accompanied by characters from six pre-school shows: Rupert Bear, Peppa Pig, The Little Princess, Fifi Forget-Me-Not, The Mr. Men and Noddy. The characters will appear on stage with Milkshake! presenters Kemi Majeks and Derek Moran.
The concert is thought to be the first time a broadcaster has worked with its presenters and leading characters to give young children a way to learn about live music, orchestras and classical music.
The unique series of carol concerts will headline at eight symphony halls across the country from Cardiff St Davids Hall to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall playing from December 13th to 24th.
Nick Wilson, director of children’s programmes at Five said: “Milkshake! Live has become a successful extension of our on air brand providing our audience with a live Milkshake! experience which helps us to connect with our viewers, promote our leading characters and provide an additional revenue stream.”
Dan Colman added: “We are delighted to be working with Five to produce this exciting new concept which uses pre-school characters to guide children through their first orchestral experience.”
Milkshake! Live My First Carol Concert is produced by Dan Colman in association with Five.
Running time: Approx 2 x 35 mins plus 15 minute interval.
