Namco Bandai Partners has signed an agreement with toy giant Mattel and game publisher Little Orbit to distribute Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze to retail.

Namco will distribute the Nintendo DS and Wii racing game in the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

The Monster High video games, licensed by Mattel, were previously published by THQ.

“The Monster High universe that Mattel developed has a rich palette to create an amazing video game experience,” said Little Orbit president Matt Scott.

“We are very excited to be bringing the freaky-fabulous and beloved characters of Monster High to fans in a fun-filled racing game.”

Players can choose from a range of Monster High students in the video game and compete in Roller Maze races. The product will be released during the Christmas season.

Mattel’s UK boss Geoff Walker previously told Licensing.biz sister site ToyNews that the firm “understands the nuances that exist in the [video games] industry” and recognised that it’s “a tough market”.
