iGadgitz has signed as the latest licensee in the National Gallery programme and is set to launch a range of e-reader, tablet and phone cases featuring National Gallery images.
The range will be widely available from May 2015 in the UK, Europe and the USA, as well as through the National Gallery’s own shops and online store.
The images will include works by Canaletto, Georges Seurat, Leonardo da Vinci, George Stubbs, Ambrosius Bosschaert as well as Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh.
“In iGadgitz we have found a partner that understands consumer electronics and how best to adapt images of our rich collection of paintings to accessories," said Judith Mather, buying and merchandise director at the National Gallery Company.
"This is a wonderful way to bring the stunning imagery in our collection to a growing and important new consumer market.”
Malcolm Brierley, managing director of iGadgitz, added: "We are thrilled to be working with the National Gallery to increase its presence among the 2.5 billion smartphone, tablet and e-reader users globally.”
