NECA secures license for sci-fi movie Blade Runner 2049

Leading action figure and collectables maker, NECA has acquired the license to Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic.

The firm will release a full range of figures, die cast vehicles, replicas, games and more in 2017, with further details being revealed at this year’s New York International Toy Fair.

Set 30 years after the events of the first film, Blade Runner 2049 will follow LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) as he unearths a secret that could plunge society into chaos.

The discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve and executive produced by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner 2049 opens in theatres on October 6, 2017.
