Nelvana teams with Bob the Builder creator for new Camp Yeti series

Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana has entered in to a development agreement for a new pre-school CG animated series, Camp Yeti.

The firm will be teaming up with Keith Chapman – the man behind Bob the Builder – and his new company, Abominable Snowman to develop the new series.

Chapman will be working alongside Ian Liddell from studio Lidell, a partnership that first formed when the pair worked together on Chapman Entertainment’s preschool shows including Roary the Racing Car.

Camp yeti will follow the adventures of a Yeti named Pigtail Poppy and her friends at a summer camp in the mountains.

“We’re excited to be working with Keith chapman and Ian Liddell on this new series,” said Irene Weibel, vice president, head of Nelvana Studio.

“Keith has a strong history of creating compelling series that kids love, such as the iconic Bob the Builder, and we know that Camp Yeti will be a world that kids won’t b able to resist.”

The new series is expected to hit screens in Autumn 2016.
