Nelvana ties up with HP

Firm expanding its digital sell-through network with new animated content deal.

Nelvana Enterprises is to sell its animated content through the online stores powered by HP Video Merchant Services.

Episodes from the company's extensive kids content library - including Beyblade (pictured), Braceface, Brian Jacques' Redwall and Tales from the Cryptkeeper - will soon be available for purchase as DVDs manufactured on demand and/or via electronic sell through in the US through HP's network of retailers.

"Working with HP to bring video content directly to consumers is another example of Nelvana's commitment to partnering with leaders in digital distribution to deliver our valued library to audiences in new and exciting ways," said Doug Murphy, president of Nelvana Enterprises.

The HP Video Merchant Services enable retailers to fulfill the increasing consumer demand for broader video title catalogues, guaranteed availability and varying media formats, including digital downloads, traditional packaged DVDs for popular titles and DVDs produced on demand for special interest and catalogue titles.



Founded in 1971, Nelvana is made up of two divisions. Nelvana Studios develops and produces animated content from its production facility in Toronto.
