Could The A Team be about to make it to the big screen? According to internet reports today, Boyz N the Hood director John Singleton is in talks with 20th Century Fox to direct a remake of the classic TV series.

While casting possiblities have apparently been talked about, the studio wants to wait until the potential Screen Actors Guild and Directors' Guild of America strikes - which could happen when the two unions' contracts run out next spring - are settled.

There is a script for the live action film, however, which updates the action to the present day and revolves around a group of Iraq war veterans who are wanted by the Army for 'a crime they didn't commit'.

The original TV show saw lots of spin-off merchandise including action figures, vehicles and comics.
