After the success of the Spot Goes to School app, Penguin Children's Books and Frederick Warne have teamed up for another launch.

Spot Goes to the Farm is now available for iPad, iTouch and iPhone, including narration, animation and jigsaw puzzles.

The pages are enhanced with animated touch-flaps which hide and reveal popular farm animals and their sounds, touch pictures that come to life, sound effects and three different read options - read it myself, read to me and touch text to hear again.

In addition to the story, the app contains three puzzles, which have three levels of difficulty and are designed to assist with and develop hand-eye coordination and memory.

Since the original title launched in 1980, over 50 million Spot books have been sold. We take a look at the accompanying licensing programme.
