Digital social kids world, BinWeevils has appointed a new CEO as its pushes on with its expansion plans.
Rod Henwood (pictured) is an existing board director, having invested in the company back in 2009. He takes over as CEO from fellow investor, Richard Watney, who will continue to be involved in the business alongside a range of other interests.
Henwood was the launch CEO of Pottermore, the digital venture for the global Harry Potter franchise, while he was also new business director at Channel 4, where he launched the 4oD service.
He also spent three years as MD at Fox Kids UK.
"I am delighted to be taking on the role of CEO at such an exciting time in BinWeevils' development and to have the opportunity to build on Richard Watney's achievements," said Henwood.
Amelia Johnson, co-founder of BinWeevils, added: "Having worked with Rod since his initial investment in the BinWeevils, I look forward to working with him in his new role as CEO, where I am sure he will lead the company to the next level.
