P2 Games and The Copyrights Group are bringing popular children's licence Tracy Beaker into the world of video games.
Jacqueline Wilson's Tracy Beaker - The Games will arrive on September 11th on Nintendo DS and on PC, aimed at seven to 12 year-old girls.
The game will feature five mini games and 11 different environments including The Dumping Ground, Tracy's School and Cam's House, where players can chat to all the characters, solve puzzles and look for items to collect.
Set in the four days leading up to an important party, Tracy has to decide where to go and what to do.
P2 Games will support the release with an extensive marketing campaign including online ads, delivering in excess of seven million impressions, a dedicated microsite offering exclusive interactive game-related content, joint activity with Random House on its official Jacqueline Wilson website, direct mail and special offers to 100,000 fan club members.
On top of this, there will be a consumer promotion with an iced drinks company in the UK, plus a nationwide schools poster competition and a national PR drive.
"Tracy Beaker has captured the imaginations and hearts of millions of children and Copyrights have increased her popularity through a variety of licensing and merchandise deals to make her a brand in her own right," said Peter Sleeman, director of P2 Games. "We hope that Tracy Beaker - The Game will continue the success of this licence and become a hit with existing fans, as well as gaining a whole new audience of gamers who might be meeting this much-loved children's character for the first time."
