The licensing programme for Engage Super League has got off to a strong start, with agent CPLG Sport signing three deals.

Elisabeth the Chef will be launching a range of Super League celebration cakes, while MBI is planning a line of club-branded jewellery. Publisher Grange Communications has signed a deal to produce an official annual, with the first due to hit retail at the end of 2011.

"Super League is a fantastic property and we are delighted to have signed up three top licensees - the brand is increasing in popularity all the time and this is reflected in the ongoing interest we are receiving from the licensing community," said Gary Jacobson, commercial manager at CPLG Sport.

The Engage Super League is the elite division for Rugby League in Europe. It features 14 teams battling it out over the course of a 27-round summer season of fixtures to reach the eight-team play off series. This culminates in the Grand Final, held every year at Old Trafford, Manchester.
