Big Idea is extending the licensing drive for its Veggie Tales property, inking deals with three more firms.
DaySpring - which is a subsidiary of Hallmark - will develop a Veggie Tales social expression line, with the first product being an Easter card. Additional items will include song cards, everyday and seasonal counter cards, calendars, holiday greeting cards, ornaments, partyware, gift wrap and bags.
Meanwhile, Bendon Publishing will debut colouring and activity books, sticker books and fun kits, as well as work books featuring flash cards, reward stickers and educational kits later this year.
Finally, new Veggie Tales-themed children's room décor will be available from The Northwest Company including a twin size bedding ensemble with matching rug, throws and decorative pillows.
The new licensees join the current roster which includes Random House (books), Blue Box (toys), Pint Size Productions (plush), ConAgra (snack foods) and Rasta Impasta (costumes).
"As the leader in values-based entertainment, millions of families trust Big Idea to consistently deliver high quality and engaging Veggie Tales products, whether it's for TV, movies or merchandise," said Jenny Kaufman, director of licensing at Big Idea.
