With The Golden Compass due to hit cinemas next month, New Line is already looking towards its next film properties - Inkheart and Journey 3-D - securing a number of deals.
For Inkheart, the company has signed German toy firm Revell to make action figures for European territories including the UK, France, Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
A US studio brokering a toy deal with a European toy company is a rare move.
In addition, New Line has aligned with games publisher Kosmos for board games, card games and puzzles, and Scholastic for tie-in books about the film.
Meanwhile, for Journey to the Centre of the Earth 3D, New Line has signed up video games publisher THQ, as well as Inkworks to produce film trading cards and Penguin for tie-in books.
Inkheart is due for cinema release in March 2008 and is based on the book series by Cornelia Funke, which has sold six million copies worldwide. Journey 3D, meanwhile, is due for release in August 2008 and is based on the classic Jules Verne novel, Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
