The agent for the family of photographers known for their collection of over 500 rare and exclusive Marilyn Monroe images has inked a number of new deals.

Acting on behalf of Shaw Family Archives, Bradford Licensing Associates has sealed a deal with BioWorld Merchandising. The company will begin manufacturing a variety of women’s accessories such as headwear, bags, wallets, hipster chains, belts and buckles, while items such as beach sandals will also be available. All products will feature famous photographs, as well as never before seen images of Monroe. The first wave will hit US stores in spring 2008.

Meanwhile, Spoontiques has also been signed up to focus on ceramic gift items such as mugs and wind chimes amongst others, while Cashman Enterprises will boast Camera Girls which will be able to super-impose the pictures of a passer-by on a select number of images from the Shaw Family gallery. These will be available in all Cashman retailers and kiosks throughout Las Vegas.

Internationally, the programme has seen further additions. In a deal arranged by local Mexican licensing agency Exim, Degil Cosmetics will produce various dental products with Marilyn Monroe imagery such as mint flavour dental cream and anti-decays.

In France, Ravensburger is due to launch 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles aimed at teenagers and adults; Japanese agent TKI has brokered a deal with licensee Noel for various apparel items including t-shirts, sweatshirts and headwear; while Precious Kids will develop items for the house including kitchen and bath accessories, plus car accessories, dolls and bobbleheads.
