CBS Interactive has signed several new licensing deals that will see a range of Star Trek books published this year.

It has renewed its agreement with Pocket Books which will see the company continue to publish original Star Trek novels in both print and electronic formats. These will be based on all Star Trek TV series including The Next Generation, Voyager, Deep Space Nine and Enterprise.

Pocket Books has already published around 1,000 Star Trek titles over the past 33 years.

Agreements with Harry N. Abrams, Becker&Mayer and Cider Mill Press will introduce other new books, including Star Trek: The Next Generation 365 from Harry N. Abrams and Star Trek: Build the U.S.S. Enterprise from Becker&Mayer, both due this September.

Cider Mill Press is working on Star Trek: The Next Generation Classic Quotes.

“We’re always looking for creative partners to give Star Trek fans stunning new products,” said Liz Kalodner, executive VP and general manager of CBS Consumer Products.

“These books offer all-new material for fans to enjoy the franchise and are going to make ideal gifts this holiday season.”
