New Terminator trilogy to spawn TV series

A new Terminator TV series is on the way, following the arrival of a new big screen trilogy reports Deadline.

Skydance Prods. and Annapurna Pictures, the companies behind the new Terminator film trilogy, are bringing the property to television with a show set to coicide with the first rebooted film in 2015.

The series will be written and produced by X-Men: First Class writers Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, while with the writers of the upcoming Terminator movie Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier will serve as executive producers.

Plot details for the new trilogy are thin on the ground, but the new films are believed to follow a vital moment from the 1984 movie.

The blockbuster Terminator franchise has earned more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office,and has graced the small screen before back in 2008 with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The Terminator reboot is scheduled to land in 2015, with Arnold Schwarzenegger back in the iconic role.
