The burgeoning licensing programme for Team 17's Worms brand will receive a further shot in the arm this September, with the launch of the Worms Revolution video game.
The title will be available for PC and console formats. It will feature 2D Worms gameplay in a 3D environment and will introduce a number of new features such as four different classes of Worm and water and physical objects designed to boost the gameplay experience.
"This new release sees us pushing back the boundaries both in terms of graphics and gameplay to produce our best Worms game ever, so this announcement is sure to delight the millions of Worms fans across the world," said Nick Clarkson, marketing director at Team 17.
The licensing programme for Worms already includes IGS (GameOn) for collectible plush and plush keyrings, Gaya for Squeezies, Fashion UK for apparel, Bioworld for apparel and accessories and GB Posters.
New lines due for launch this year include collectible resin figures and dioramas, as well as bags, mugs and other accessories.
