Niantic Labs has teamed with Apple to bring the Pokémon Go app to the Apple Watch platform.
The new app means that Pokémon Go players no longer need to open the app on their phone, as it will notify them via their watch when a Pokémon is nearby.
Players will also be able to collect Pokeballs and other items from Pokestops directly from their wrist.
Apple Watch users can also log their daily walks in Pokémon Go, which helps them to hatch eggs and receive other rewards.
While players will reap a wealth of benefits for connecting via the Apple Watch, the wrist piece still won’t be able to catch the Pokémon, users will still have ot do so via their phone.
