Nickelodeon Poland is due to air from June 1st, and is the latest addition to its rapidly growing portfolio of channels in Central and Eastern Europe.
The localised channel - which is aimed at two to 12 year-olds - will broadcast daily via cable and digital. It joins other MTVNI channel brands currently available in Poland - MTV, VIVA, VH1 and Comedy Central, which was the first local Comedy Central service to launch outside of the US.
Programming will include a mix of international content such as pre-school hits Dora the Explorer and Blue's Clues, as well as Spongebob Squarepants, Drake and Josh, and Jimmy Neutron amongst others.
The channel will also air original local productions and acquisitions.
"The launch of Nickelodeon Poland is a real landmark for us and completes our five channel portfolio of MTVNI brands in Poland," said Bhavneet Singh, MD and senior VP emerging markets at MTVNI.
The channel will be supported by a Polish language website.
