Nickelodeon UK has bolstered its licensing and merchandising team, promoting Ashley Holman to senior licensing manager and adding former Disney exec, Rebecca Aston, to its line-up.
Holman has been with the company for three and a half years, during which time he has developed licensing programmes for key properties across the food, personal care, gifting, stationery and paper products categories.
Key deals include the one with John Hornby Skewes, with Holman overseeing the development of the Spongebob Squarepants instruments line which won the 2009 Innovations Award at the Licensing Awards. He has also been responsible for a number of large scale promotions, including the one between Spongebob and Claire's Accessories last year.
Following his promotion, in addition to managing and developing his existing licensing categories, Holman will help the international interactive team develop their portfolio with UK retailers and partners.
In addition, Rebecca Aston joins Nickelodeon as licensing manager. She arrives from Disney where she led the launch of the Club Penguin merchandise programme, as well as licensing the toy category across all franchises.
At Nickelodeon, Aston will work across toys (excluding master toy agreements), homewares and consumer electronics, while she will also be working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment.
