Nickelodeon unveils plans for German show

Presence at Licensing Market in Munich bolstered by key marketing activity in territory.

Nickelodeon Consumer Products Germany will be presenting its full portfolio at next week's Licensing Market in Munich - while its presence at the show will be supported by a key marketing promotion throughout the territory.

Held at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof on November 9th, the one-day event is followed by the LIMA Awards, where NCP Germany is nominated for three accolades.

NCP Germany is in the running for Licensor of the Year; MTV is nominated as Brand of the Year; and the Spongebob Squarepants Don't Worry game - from United Labels - is up for Licensed Product of the Year.

In addition, Nickelodeon Germany is running a Dora the Explorer campaign fronted by Germany actress, Nina Bott. The firm is asking children to draw pictures and send them to the broadcaster. For each picture sent, one euro will be donated to one of five junior schools by Nickelodeon.

As part of the successful relaunch of the property in the country, Nickelodeon has partnered with retailer for the campaign. It will also contribute one euro for every Dora the Explorer product bought during the campaign period.
