Publishing property Olivia is making the leap to television in the US later this month, with Nickelodeon beginning to air the series from January 26th.
Based on the books by Ian Falconer, the show will air regularly on weekdays, with the channel offering a two-minute sneak peak from the premiere episode from January 16th.
"Children already know and love Olivia from Ian Falconer's beautifully illustrated books, and we're honoured to have her join the Nickelodeon family," said Brown Johnson, president of animation at Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family group. "Olivia is a role model for all pre-schoolers who will be inspired by her imagination and keen sense of humour."
Megan Laughton, supervising producer for the Olivia series at Chorion, added: "Olivia is a show where the ordinary meets the extraordinary, and we've worked closely with the team at Nickelodeon to bring Olivia's world to life."
