Fashion doll and girls brand Barbie is continuing to build a presence within licensing, with Mattel striking a deal with Universal Music TV which will see the launch of a new compilation album.
The CD features tracks from artists including Cheryl Cole, Rihanna and Pixie Lott, as well as the new remixed version of the 90s hit Barbie Girl.
"We are delighted to be working with Universal Music TV," said Claire Atherton, Mattel Brands licensing director. "This is a fantastic compilation album that will appeal to girls everywhere."
The album is released on Monday November 30th and will be supported by an extensive marketing drive including advertising, online activity and PR.
