Hit UK pre-school brand Chuggington is heading into the Asian market, after Ludorum secured a number of broadcast and licensing deals.

The company has extended its relationship with Disney to incorpoate Chuggington throughout key territories across Asia including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. Subsequent agreements will see Chuggington air on free TV in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and basic pay channel, Truevisions Kids in Thailand.

Ludorum has appointed Medialink as the property's agent in the region. The firm has already secured 14 licensees across categories including publishing, apparel and footwear, play-sets, stationery, party ware, watches, clocks and accessories.

Product will launch in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Taiwan from spring 2010, alongside RC2's master toy range. Further deals are in negotiation across more product categories and will be finalised during the Hong Kong Licensing Show.

"We are delighted to have secured partnerships with such esteemed broadcast and licensing partners," said Natalie Setton, international sales and licensing manager at Ludorum.
