BBC Worldwide's musical pre-school show ZingZillas is heading to Australia from November.
The Cbeebies hit will debut to Australian audiences on Foxtel and Austar.
Having launched in late April on Cbeebies in the UK, ZingZillas has already garnered an 11 per cent share for kids aged four to 15 (Source: BARB, UK). Vivid Imaginations is the master toy licensee in the territory. Discussions are underway with local licensees ahead of a potential product launch in 2011.
"I'm immensely pleased that we have secured ZingZillas, a landmark series produced in-house for Cbeebies UK," said Brendan Dahill, director of television for BBC Worldwide Channels, Australasia. "This title is a musical feast which celebrates our core values of encouraging kids to use their imagination and learn through play.
"I hope we see more wooden spoons banging on saucepans playing an imaginary percussion section following its November release."
