Target Entertainment is continuing to build the licensing programme for upcoming movie The Nutcracker: The Real Story, signing up Roman Inc to produce festive decorations for holiday 2008 and beyond.
Tying in with the winter-time setting of the film, the deal - which was negotiated by Richard Oren, VP of licensing for USA, Canada and Latin America - includes seasonal ornaments, nutcrackers, 3D figurines, snowglobes, night lights and yard decor.
Nutcracker-themed products are expected to roll out in November 2008 to coincide with the release of the movie and the beginning of the holiday season.
"We are very excited to be working with Roman on this line of holiday-themed products," said Oren. "The Nutcracker obviously lends itself well to seasonal decor, and no one does it better than Roman. Families who love the Nutcracker should be thrilled to add Roman's exquisite works to their holiday collections."
The Nutcracker is based on the classic story and combines live action with the CGI effects. It will include a host of new songs written by Sir Tim Rice and an all-star cast.
