Official Charts has signed a new three-year deal with apparel and accessory firm Urban Species in the UK and Ireland.
The firm will be drawing on the pop culture history at the heart of the Official Charts to create a range of ladies and men's apparel, tote bags, mugs, badges, wristbands, lanyards and caps, aiming to hit retail for spring/summer 2015.
Urban Species has previously enjoyed success with a number of major characters, IP, brands and artists. More recently, it has used rare Star Wars art on Geek Chic leggings and tee-dresses, as well as bringing retro My Little Pony back onto ladies and men's fashion-wear from indie boutiques to Primark.
"Official Charts has only begun working in the consumer product space since the beginning of this year, so I am thrilled to announce our first licensee Urban Species," said Michele Ironton, business development executive at Official Charts. "They are a fantastic company who work with great brands and to be part of that is really exciting."
Hash Hirji, director at Urban Species, added: "I'm absolutely hyped to sign on with the Official Charts and to get some thrilling new product out there.
"I've been wishing to move the company to focus more on music (creatively) for some time, so I'm elated with this outcome.
"It's so much more than one artist, it's all about the aesthetics which define certain eras in pop music history. And everyone loves music, right? If you don't get it, come to Urban Species and you'll join in the fun."
