20th Century Fox Consumer Products has sealed a deal with Titan Books which will see the firm launch an official line of Planet of the Apes books.
The titles will arrive ahead of the theatrical release of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, starring Andy Serkis and Gary Oldman.
First up, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Firestorm arrives on June 6th and is the official prequel novel to the new movie. It aims to bridge the gaps between the events in Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the sequel, as well as offering fans the full story that leads into the action on screen.
This will be followed by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: The Official Movie Novelization on July 7th. It is written by Alex Irvine - who has been responsible for a number of ties ins to franchises including Pacific Rim, Transformers and Iron Man.
Finally, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: The Art of the Films is due on July 8th and is a new art book written by LA-based entertainment journalist, Matt Hurwitz. Concept art, behind the scenes photography and film stills are all included, as well as a foreword by director Matt Reeves.
