The independent French animation studio, Procidis has secured a swathe of new international licensees for its hit series Once Upon a Time…Life.

The animated edutainment series is part of the company’s classic Hello Maestro umbrella brand.

Coinciding with the launch of the revamped series on France 4 this March, the first new products to be rolled out include a comic book from Editions Soleil and two documentary books from Fleurus Jeunesse.

Further new product set to launch in France in the property’s 30th anniversary year, include DVDs from Sony Music, an encyclopedia from Hachette, and official stamp from La Poste and charms from Alcara.

Meanwhile, Educa Borras has joined to deliver a line of toys and games for France and Belgium audiences including a Once Upon a Time….Life board game, puzzles and mini games, all set for release in Q4 2017.

The brand is also building its international reach with a number of recent broadcast sales across Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and Canada.

This September will see Once Upon a Time…Life celebrate its 30th anniversary with a dedicated Live Show in Paris.

Helene Barille, head of Prodicis, said: “We are always seeking more ways in which families can connect with Maestro and friends beyond their screens, and we’re thrilled to be rolling out our licensing programme in 2017 with such great partners on board.

“We will be at Nuremberg Toy Fair and the Kidscreen summit to have further discussions with potential partners as we look to extend the reach of the brand in this exciting year.”
