The organiser of The Licensing Event - the proposed New York show to be held next year - has said that over 100 stands have already been reserved.
In an email to the industry last week, Trade Show Events stated that only 600 booths and 25 private meeting rooms will be available in the show's first year. No payment is being asked for up front, but, crucially, none of the supporters will be named until later on this year.
However, media relationships with the likes of Total Licensing, The Licensing Book, Guide to the Licensing World and The Toy Book among others have been secured.
The goal, says TSE, is to create an event that fits the licensing industry's needs in today's uncertain environment . It is being mooted for April 20th to 22nd 2010 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York.
