London’s Prop Store and Vue Entertainment International are to launch their first live auction featuring iconic movie props such as Marty McFly’s Hoverboard from Back to the Future.
Film buffs will be able to vie over more than 375 props and costumes, like Wonka’s Golden ticket from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, at the event at Vue Westfield, London.
The team has also launched a first of its kind interactive catalogue, now available online and featuring exclusive video footage, imagery and additional detailed descriptions of the items.
Many of the items available in the auction have never been seen before by the general public, and will be on display in a two-week exhibition at Vue Westfield from October 1st.
These items include Sigourney weaver’s flamethrower from Alien, estimated to fetch between £25,000 and £30,000, a Gremlins 2 The New Batch Gremlin Puppet estimated at £3,500 to £4,500 and a Star Trek III: The Search For Spock Captain James T Kirk’s costume, estimated at £10,000 to £12,000.

The Prop Store Live Auction in partnership with Vue Cinemas will take place at Vue Westfield in London on Thursday 16th October. Auction items will be on display at a free preview exhibition at Vue Westfield, open to
the public from Thursday 1st October until Thursday 16th October.
