Oxford Limited - the licensor for the University of Oxford - has signed a deal with Lofty International to create a range of adult apparel and fashion accessories for the Brazilian market.

The deal is the first to be signed by Oxford in Brazil, and was brokered by its Latin American agent, Supermarcas.

Lofty will launch the first lines for autumn/winter 2012, based on collegiate designs featuring the crest of the University, as well as those of Oxford's colleges and sports clubs.

The two-year deal will also see Lofty developing fashion accessories such as bags, eyewear and watches.

"Apparel is a key category for the development of the Oxford consumer brand and Lofty will be able to build on the designs and success of our established licences in Korea, China and Japan to create the Oxford look for Brazil," said Chris Evans, MD of Oxford Limited.
