Oxford Limited, the licensor for the University of Oxford's brand licensing programme, has appointed The Joester Loria Group as its agent in North America.
The firm will look to extend the University's success in apparel and home furnishings, developing the categories in the US and Canada.
"We started our serach for new agents last summer and from our first meeting with Joester Loria, it was evident that this was an agency that understood Oxford and its potential as a consumer brand," said Chris Evans, MD at Oxford Limited. "They clearly have the vision and the expertise to establish the Oxford brand in the US market, identifying licensee and retailer partnerships in major categories such as apparel, as well as capitalising on existing global deals, for example the Oxford collection of furniture from Halo Licensing, in order to develop other key areas such as home decoration and interiors."
Joanne Loria, EVP and COO of The Joester Loria Group, added: "It's an honour to be tapped by this prestigious world renowned institution. We believe that there is an extraordinary opportunity to develop distinctive product collections that are inspired by Oxford's rich, cultural history and heritage in art and design that span more than eight centuries."
