Rocket Licensing and Walker Books have hired Ozen Kazim to act as licensing manager across both companies.
Kazim, who was most recently category/territory manager at Target Entertainment Group, will divide her week between the two firms, reporting to brand compliance director Judy Burdsall at Walker, and Rocket joint MDs Charlie Donaldson and Rob Wijeratna.
She will be responsible for licensing sales across certain categories and brands for both Rocket and Walker.
"Walker is acknowledged industry-wide for its original publishing and outstanding quality, while Rocket has established itself as an important player in licensing and brand development with a select and high quality portfolio of brands," said Kazim. "I am thrilled to be working with two companies so highly regarded in their fields."
Rocket's Wijeratna commented: "Ozen's work to date and her speedy career progression have demonstrated a keen insight into how licensing works and an ability to deal with diverse properties and categories - both of which were pre-requisites for this job. We are delighted to welcome her on board."
Walker Books' Burdsall added: "Ozen has already shown her ability to work highly effectively with both licensees and licensors and an understanding of all stages of such relationships, from pitching and presenting to devising brand strategy and working with retail. We are looking forward enormously to working with her."
