Paramount rings in Artificial Life mobile deal

Braveheart and Shooter to be made into mobile games after agreement between the two firms.

Hong Kong-based 3G technology and applications provider, Artificial Life has inked a worldwide licensing deal with Paramount for two exclusive mobile games based on the movies Braveheart and Shooter (pictured).

The games are due for release in early 2008 and were selected for their strong brand recognition, solid fan base and adaptability to the mobile format.

"Artificial Life's ability to bring alive the compelling characters and storylines from these two hit titles will help our fans and gamers experience a thrilling interactive gameplay," said Pradeep Mittur, VP of Paramount Pictures Digital's operations across the Asia Pacific region.

Eberhard Schoneburg, CEO at Artificial Life, added: "This new partnership is an exciting opportunity as Paramount Pictures owns one of the largest movie library collections in the world. It further strengthens our reputation of successfully converting world class movie titles into high quality interactive mobile games."
